This massive, fast-paced, renowned market space provides vendors with food, jewelry, clothing, shoes, etc. Bargain your way to a good deal from stall to stall, picking up products you like. 


Ashanti Villages

The Ashanti Villages, or the "Kingdom of Gold," is known for its artistic heritage and craft. The Ashanti tribe is the largest in Ghana and one of the fewest with a matrilineal view of society. Learn about the kente weaving traditions and Adinkra symbols and get the opportunity to try your hand at weaving this beautiful traditional cloth. The kente is used during important ceremonies such as weddings, festivals, and funerals. 


Cape Coast Castle

Built by the Dutch in the 1650s and one of forty slave castles, the Cape Coast Castle is an eye-opening site to see. Be able to stand at the point of no return, the last place captive slaves stood in Africa before boarding ships to the Americas. While touring the Castle, take in the information and learn about the millions of slaves that passed through. 


Kakum National Park

Located in the central regions of Ghana, embark on a scenic venture and wander through the forest that contains several rope bridges. Soak in the beauty Kakum National Park has to offer. You'll be able to see hundreds of herbaceous species and woody plants, along with being able to birdwatch and see antelope, monkeys, elephants, and other various animals.
